The CBR Comic Book Idol Adventure.

"It appears to me that the judges are making picks with two criteria in mind: whose work speaks to me; and whose portfolio has the kind of material (quality), as well as the amount of material (quantity), that says they can go all the way in this competition"

They say hindsight is 20/20...

Over the summer I threw my hat into the ring and created this blog for the sole intent of entering the Comic Book Resources artist talent search "Comic Book Idol 3". After seeing the success Micah Gunnell had as a runner-up during the last competition, I figured it seemed like a competition worth entering...

Well, sadly I didn't make it into the top 10. I was a bit disappointed at first... and full of "I'll show you" attitude and vowed to out do the chosen contenders on the site's "Play at Home" thread. But real life intervened and the window of opportunity for CBI3 had closed.

But all was not lost, as thanks to CBI3, I have some really sweet Great Lakes Avengers vs. Martians pages to add to my portfolio. ^^

I guess now I'll be prepared for next time, huh?
'Till then!
